0786It really is gorillas in the mist! Situated in the far northwest of Rwanda, the Parc des Volcans protects the steep slopes of the Virunga Mountains – and is the home of the rare mountain gorilla. This rich ecosystem, includes evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and moorland. But the high point, one of the greatest wildlife experiences possible, is the chance to spot the gentle giant gorillas as they go about their daily life, feeding, playing, resting, raising their young. You will understand why conservationists have been tracking and protecting these animals for years.

This safari begins and ends at Kigali international Airport. You will be taken to the Parc National Des Volcanoes which is a habitat over 7 habituated gorilla families all totaling to 300 gorillas resident in this National park.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes NP

Arrival in the morning or afternoon at Kanombe international airport Kigali. Our representative will meet you and transfer to the Mountain Gorilla hotel for an overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking & transfer to Kigali.

Early morning after breakfast, you will head off to the headquarters of the Park where your ranger guide will be waiting for you. You will be briefed and then set off for the most thrilling animal experience encounter of your life with these lovely close to human like species. We will return to the lodge for lunch and then set off to Kigali with several stop overs to admire the scenery. Rwanda is the country with a thousand hills. O/N at either Hotel des Mille Collines or Hotel Chez Lando. (BB)

Day 3: Kigali visit and Departure

After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel, you will be taken around for the Kigali city trip including the Genocide Memorial centre at Gisozi. Transfer to the Airport for your departure.
