Kenya has got superb beaches along the coastal area, the equatorial glaciers of Mt kenya at an altitude of more than 4,573 metres,to the natural habitat inhabited by different types of animals both big and small,herivorous and canivores.All this combine to make a small world of kenya with natural features of its own. A million wild beast and zebras cross southern Kenya in the great migration that normally takes place between July and October and they attract predators in big numbers, therefore referred to as land of wildlife.
Kenya is one of the top safari destinations in Africa with un matched wildlife. Kenya’s flora and fauna are notably so diverse. The vast plains of the south are characterized by distinctive acacia trees. The savannah grassland of the masai mara supports a huge variety of animals and insects. Masai Mara 3 days | Kenya Safaris
Masai Mara is known for its famous wildlife conservation area in Kenya.
Masai Mara Game Park has a rich variety of wildlife in a natural and untouched state. With its rolling savannah landscape dotted with shrubs and bush thickets, homes a variety of cuts and other animals and is the Kenyan part of the large ecosystem stretching south to Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park
Day 1 (Masai Mara)
From your hotel / Airport, depart for a scenic drive down into the Rift Valley, to Masai Mara, Kenya’s world renowned game reserve. Have a stop at the Great Rift Valley for the stunning views. Arrive before lunch for relaxation and meals, afternoon game drives allow spotting of the unrivaled wildlife in the park. Dinner and overnight at Mara Sopa Lodge or equivalent.
Day 2 (Masai Mara game drives)
You enjoy two game drives today, one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon. As your safari is private your game drive timings are flexible, useful if you are traveling with children, or are on a honeymoon. Return is in the evening for dinner and overnight at the lodge. Mara Sopa Lodge or similar.
At the break of dawn you enjoy your final game drive in the Mara followed by breakfast and departure for Nairobi after early morning game drive and breakfast. Arrive Nairobi by lunchtime. Transfer to your Hotel / airport for your flight home.
Kilimanjaro Hiking 6 days
The Machame route that is used for this hike, is the most beautiful and scenic route (especially at the traverse of the Western Breach) for trailing up Mountain Kilimanjaro. It is more challenging than the Marangu route because it involves longer, exhausting and steeper walks, with the summit night being an hour shorter and much quieter and offers only tent accommodations making this route most preferred by slightly more adventurous hikers. Compared to the Umbwe route, the Machame route involves a gradual ascent.
Day 1 (Machame Gate -1490m to Machame camp -2980m 7hrs)
Very early in the morning, departure from Arusha to the Machame gate, for registration. Then proceed on a gentle climb through the montane forest where you will watch unique flora and ferns .Dinner and overnight at Machame campsite on 2980m.
Day 2 (Machame camp (2980m) to Shira camp (3840m))
After your breakfast, start climbing through the Shira plateau to camp near the Shira Cave at 3840m. Where Lions can occasionally be seen, including wonderful geological features in the volcanic caldera which can be viewed during the optional half-hour nature walk taken during the afternoon. Hiking distance is 849m and climbing duration is 6-7 hours. Dinner and overnight at Shira campsite.
Day 3 (Shira camp -3840m to Lava Tower -4600m to Barranco camp -3950m)
Early morning climb towards the Kibo Peak with the western glaciers clearly visible across the high altitude desert of volcanic rocks and boulders. Skirt around its base and under the imposing Western Breach and start descending to the sheltered Barranco valley and finally reaching the Barranco camp on a height of 3950m. Hiking duration is about 6 – 7 hours to the Barranco camp, over a total ascent of 110m. Having hiked much higher (to the Lava Tower at 4600m), then dropped back down (to the Barranco valley at 3950m) greatly assists in acclimatization. Dinner and overnight at Barranco campsite.
Day 4 (Barranco camp -3950m to Barafu camp -4660m)
Breakfast at Barranco camp then climb up the steep mountain ridge and the Barranco Wall. From the Barranco wall, descend to the Karanga Valley where you will have your lunch break. In the afternoon continue climbing to the Barafu campsite at a height of 4600m. Total hiking duration on this day is 7 – 8 hours over a distance of 650m. While at Barafu hut, enjoy scenery views across to Mawenzi Peak as you also have adequate rest in preparation of the challenging hike to the summit, to be done very early in the morning. Dinner and overnight at the Barafu Hut.
Day 5 (Barafu camp -4660m to Uhuru Peak -5895m to Mweka (3100m)
Immediately after midnight, depart for the Uhuru Peak climbing through steep frozen scree, continue past the Gillman’s Point then reach Stella Point (5475m) on the crater rim for the sunrise. Once at Uhuru Peak (5895m), you are now at the highest point on the African continent. Enjoy photo taking as you celebrate this memorable achievement. The hike to Uhuru Peak from Barafu campsite takes duration of about 8 hours. After this short break at the “Highest Point in Africa”, start descending to Mweka campsite on 3100m. Descend duration of 7-8 hours. Dinner and overnight at Mweka camp.
Day 6 (Mweka Camp -3100m to Mweka Gate -1700m)
After breakfast in the morning, proceed for your final descent to the Mweka Park Gate. The descend will last 3-4 hours. At Mweka Gate, you will be met by our Safari guide who will transfer you to your place of convenience.
