3 DAYS MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK | Uganda Tours

Murchison Falls National Park covering an area of 3,840-sq km with altitude of 619m at the delta and 1,292 at Rabongo Hill. The mean temperature is 29 ° and 21°C-low C-high. It has recorded 76 mammal species and 450 bird species and is known to be the biggest national park in Uganda.

Day 1
Early morning pick up after breakfast from your overnight accommodation in Kampala. Driving through Bombo and Masindi a 4-5 hours drive to Murchison falls National Park stopping over for lunch either in Masindi or a picnic lunch in Kaniyo – Pabidi forest. Thereafter proceed to kichumbanyobo gate accessing Murchison falls National Park late afternoon. Drive to the “Top of the falls” for a marvel at the splendid sight of the raging Nile and witness it force its way through a rocky fissure just about six meters wide, point where the Nile River discharges through a narrow chasm and gush down 150 meters to become a placid river. Have Dinner and over night at Red Chillis Camp with basic accommodation, sambiya river lodge with mid range accommodation and luxury accommodation package being at paraa safari lodge / Nile safari camp.

Day 2: Game drive and Launch cruise

An early morning  game drive on the northern bank where you will spot lion, waterbuck, Roth child’s giraffe, elephant, cape buffalo, bushbuck, hartebeest, if you are lucky the leopard and other animals. Mid morning return to the lodge for breakfast, relaxation and lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat cruise safari and you will spot schools of hippos, herds of buffaloes. crocodiles, might see elephant, waterbuck, Uganda Kob and different bird species like goliath heron, pelican bee-eater, skimmers, Egyptian goose, kingfisher, fish eagle,  cormorant, the rare shoebill stork and hornbill.,.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3
Morning at leisure, drive back to Kampala and lunch on the way.
